Tips for a Wellness Filled 2023!

Happy New Year! I wanted to drop a few tips on ways to get off on the right foot for the new year. I hope it is beneficial. Cheers! Jennifer B.

Top 10 best tips for wellness in 2023

  • Get plenty of restful sleep. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep each night and try to keep a regular sleep schedule. Set a reminder to go to bed, if needed. I do!

  • Make time for physical activity. Aim for 30 minutes of moderate exercise every day, with more vigorous exercise a few times a week. If you don't exercise at all, start with a walk. Take pictures along the way and find gratitude in what you see.

  • Eat a balanced diet. Make sure to get plenty of fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, healthy fats, and whole grains. Watch hidden sugar, because it can truly change your mood (and your weight)!

  • Find ways to manage stress. This could include yoga, meditation, journaling, or talking with a trusted friend. You deserve an outlet, so give yourself permission to find one.

  • Take time for yourself. Carve out time each day to do something you enjoy, whether it's reading, listening to music, or going for a walk. If you don't know what you really enjoy, allow yourself the time to find out what that is.

  • Connect with others. Spend time with family and friends and make sure to reach out to people who care about you.

  • Stay organized. Make lists and set reminders to help keep your life and tasks on track.

  • Develop a growth mindset. Challenge yourself to learn new skills and view mistakes as opportunities to grow.

  • Live with intention. Set goals and create a plan to reach them. I am more likely to stick to what I write down, so I get a great journal or notepad and keep it with me for inspiration.

  • Practice mindfulness. Take time each day to be present and aware of your thoughts, feelings, and environment.
